Water based UVCC is composed of water-based UV resin or prepolymer, photoinitiator and various additives.
Alkyd resin is an important resin for coating. Its monomers are rich in source, low in price, varied in variety, large in formula, convenient in chemical modification, and good performance. The development of waterborne alkyd resins has undergone two stages of emulsification and endoemulsification, and is now mainly used to synthesize aqueous alkyd resin dispersion.
The so-called internal emulsification method is to neutralize carboxyl or amino acids in the polymer with appropriate alkali or acid, which can be dispersed in water. Although waterborne alkyd resin coating with good coating performance and lubricating performance, but there is also a film drying is slow, low hardness, water resistance and corrosion resistance is poor, poor outdoor weatherability shortcomings, such as through modification are needed to meet these performance requirements.
At present, the modification of waterborne alkyd resin mainly includes physical modification and chemical modification. The effects of acrylic resin, silicone resin and styrene are the most significant.

Wang ruihong et al. modified alkyd resin with self-drying type acrylic acid. In addition to the addition of water-based acrylic acid, it also adds the neutralizer, drier and solvent in the alkyd emulsion. Modification of waterborne alkyd resin coating with good colour retention, light resistance, weather resistance, durability, corrosion resistance, quick drying, high hardness, etc., to overcome the conventional waterborne alkyd paint storage stability, the drying rate slow, poor early hardness, water resistance and solvent resistance ills, broaden the application fields of waterborne alkyd coatings.
The water solubility of the modified resin has been greatly improved and decreased the amount of the solvent, compared with the conventional water-based alkyd resin, which is developed by zhou liqiong et al.
The main chain of waterborne alkyd resin containing polyols and polybasic acid polymerization of ester bond, and ester bond under acid, alkali neutralizer attack is easy to fracture, so in the synthesis of modified waterborne alkyd resin, using water soluble sulfonate prepolymer, can greatly improve the water soluble resin, just add a small amount of amine neutralizer and can obtain good solubility in water, much less the neutralizer of ester bond. The modified water-based alkyd resin has improved its water solubility and has excellent flexibility, adhesion and impact resistance.
Polyurethane coating is a kind of coating with excellent comprehensive performance. Therefore, it is hoped that the fine properties of polyurethane will be introduced into alkyd resin to improve the physical mechanical properties, weatherability and chemical resistance of alkyd resin. In fact, at present has formed production, performance between solvent-based alkyd and two-component polyurethane type of coatings, the so-called ammonia ester oil or one-component polyurethane coatings, waterborne and ammonia ester oil is current research hotspot.
There are many types of acrylic monomers, and the performance and prices vary widely. The most commonly used in the country is butyl acrylate, the lowest cost of the monomers, the monomer that most emulsions are used in matching with styrene to make a cheap wall paint emulsion. Its function is to provide water - water paint film flexibility. Since acrylate polymerization is not included in the chain, the main chain and ester side chains are flexible, so the water - based paint film lacks hardness. This kind of polyacrylate emulsion is the choice of exterior wall paint of the building, but it is not enough to be used as a wood tool for hardness and toughness.
