The commonly used plasticizers accounted for the largest proportion of phthalic acid esters, and their yield accounted for about 80% of the total plasticizer production. In this paper, some commonly used plasticizers are briefly introduced.
Two octyl (DOP) of phthalic acid (DOP) is a transparent oily liquid with odorless or slight odor. It is one of the most widely used plasticizers used in plastics processing, with excellent comprehensive performance, high plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, UV resistance, water extraction resistance, ease of small shift, and cold resistance, softness and electrical properties are very good, is a kind of ideal main plasticizer agent, is also the largest amount of plasticizer in developed countries and regions due to the DOP carcinogenic debate, it has gradually been replaced by other plasticizers.
Phthalic two formic acid two isononyl ester (DINP) is a colorless transparent liquid. It can be used as PVC main plasticizer, the less volatile, high mobility, ease water extraction resistance, excellent electrical insulation, but the large molecular weight, compatibility, plasticizing efficiency and cold resistance is less than DOP, not suitable for low temperature products, because the price, quality and other reasons than DOP, is developed countries and regions to replace DOP as the main plasticizer used.
Two octyl adipate (DOA) is a colorless and transparent oil like liquid. It is PVC typical cold resistant plasticizer plasticizer, high efficiency, small heat discoloration, with soft and light fastness of products with a good display, good lubrication in the processing of products, good hand feeling, and DOP.DINP etc. the main plasticizer for cold resistance of plastic sheeting, frozen food packaging film, wire and cable coating etc.. But the volatility of this product is large, water resistance, fugacity, electrical insulation and other aspects are also inadequacies, should be paid attention to in use.
Trimetholate phosphate (TCP) is a clear, scent, clear, sticky silk liquid. It is a flame-retardant plasticizer. It has good hydrolysis stability, good oil resistance and electrical insulation, high fungal resistance and non colonization. When used for PVC film, sheet, floor material, wire and cable material, it can improve the processing, anti pollution, flame retardancy, mildew resistance and wear resistance of the products. The cold resistance of this product is poor, and can be improved with the cold resistant plasticizer. This product is a toxic substance, which has a toxic effect on the central nervous system of animals and people, and should be paid attention to when it is used.

Use of two octyl terephthalate (plasticizer DOTP)
1.DOTP has good electrical and thermal properties. It can be used to replace DOP in the sheath of PVC plastic wire and can also be used in the production of artificial leather membrane. But the oil resistance of this product is not as good as polyester plasticizer, and the kneading is not as good as DOP.
Epoxy soybean oil is a light yellow oily liquid. It has good compatibility with PVC, and it is a plasticizer and heat stabilizer for PVC. It has low volatility, small escaping property, excellent thermal stability and light stability, good water resistance and oil resistance. It can give good mechanical strength, weatherability and electrical insulation property to products.
Citrate plasticizers are mainly used in plastic products that are directly or indirectly exposed to food. It is an important type of nontoxic plasticizer. The typical variety TBC (citric acid three butyl ester) and ATBC (acetyl citric acid three butyl ester) are non-toxic, odorless, heat-resistant, cold resistant, weather resistant, water resistant and other comprehensive properties.
They are ideal plasticizers for food packaging and medical equipment. ATBC has been certified by the United States Food and Pharmaceutical Administration (FDA) as a nontoxic product. After ATBC plasticization, PVC has the advantages of good low temperature perturbed, stable heat and no discoloration during sealing. With the same addition of ATBC and DOP, the plasticizing efficiency of ATBC is slightly higher than that of DOP, and the main mechanical properties and DOP are close. ATBC water resistance, soapy water, oil extraction performance and phthalic acid ester plasticizer are equal, and can meet the requirements.
With the strict limits of the range of DOP and DBP in the world, the research and development of non-toxic plasticizer products have been strengthened in the world. Now the citrate nontoxic plasticizer has gradually replaced DOP in some fields.
