Classification of plasticizers
There are many kinds of plasticizers. In their research and development stages, there are more than 1000 kinds of plasticizers. As a commodity, plasticizer has more than 200 plasticizers, and its raw materials come from petrochemical industry, which is the largest proportion of o-benzoic acid two formate.
There are many classifications of plasticizers. Plasticizer classified according to molecular size can be divided into single type plasticizer and polymeric plasticizer plasticizer; classification according to the shape can be divided into liquid and solid plasticizer plasticizer; plasticizer classification according to the performance can be divided into general plasticizer, cold resistant plasticizer heat resistant agent, plasticizer, flame retardant plasticizer plasticizer; according to the classification of chemical structure is commonly used classification methods.
The plasticizer is divided into the following types according to the chemical structure:
(1) benzoic acid esters (including phthalic, phenylene, and benzoate two formate).
(2) aliphatic dicarboxylic acid esters (including azelaic acid, adipic acid ester, two esters, two octyl decyl two adipic acid and sebacic acid ester DOS DOA two).
(3) phosphate esters (including fatty alcohol phosphate, phofophosphate and chlorophosphate, trimethylamine phosphate TCP, toluene two benzyl ester).

Use of two octyl terephthalate (plasticizer DOTP)
1.DOTP has good electrical and thermal properties. It can be used to replace DOP in the sheath of PVC plastic wire and can also be used in the production of artificial leather membrane. In addition, with excellent compatibility, terephthalic acid ester is two PVC acrylonitrile derivatives plastic plasticizer, plasticizer, plasticizer, polyvinyl butyral nitrile rubber plasticizer, plasticizer for cellulose nitrate. The improvement of the product and plays the role of hardness and deformation, can be used as softener in NBR, chloroprene rubber, EPDM rubber and other products three. Especially for cable material, it has good plasticizing effect and low volatility. It is widely used in various products that require heat resistance and high insulation. After esterification, NaOH was added to neutralize H2SO4 and separated into wastewater by stratification. Then dealcoholation was carried out, and the unreacted n-butanol was removed under the condition of decompression. After adding the decolorization of activated carbon, after decolorization, the final product DBP is obtained by filtration. The production process diagram of DBP shows that there are five production processes: esterification, neutralization, dealcoholization, decolorization and filtration. Five processes in the batch process are all intermittent operation.
In the total yield of plasticizers, phthalate esters accounted for more than 80% of the total output, and DOP and DBP were the leading products. Taking DBP as an example, the reaction mechanism of phthalate two formate was introduced.
Most of the production of DBP in China is under normal pressure, and the reaction of the raw material, phthalic anhydride and n-butanol, in the presence of acid catalyst (such as H2SO4). Acid catalyst is a traditional esterification catalyst. It has high activity, and is cheap and easy to obtain. Its disadvantage is easy to cause side effects.
The first esterification reaction is a phthalic anhydride molecule and a alcohol molecule to form o-butyl benzoic acid two butyl ester. The reaction is exothermic reaction without catalyst, generally at 120 C.
