Accelerator and paint crosslinking agent
Promoters and crosslinking agents refer to a paste or solution that is formulated in accordance with the regulations. The amount of crosslinking agent is determined according to the number of free radicals required for the crosslinking reaction of the material.
The accelerant is determined by the temperature of the molding environment and the operation time of the producer. For example, the first Ⅰ kind of blending of cobalt naphthenate and available by about 4% in winter, the summer available around 1%.
The promoter is used to make organic peroxides form free radicals at room temperature. According to the dosage of the promoter, the crosslinking speed can be controlled artificially. Promoter has the nature of the reducing agent, basically make peroxide electron and reduction, itself loses electrons by oxidation, therefore, peroxide and promoter oxidation - reduction initiator system.
Action principle is to promote superoxide free radical formation, free radicals and make double bond open in resin and crosslinking agent, a chain reaction, and then respectively and form a new free radical, make growing a chain reaction, until peroxide run out.
In foreign countries, it is sometimes used to pre-add the promoter to the resin (the time is partially invalid), and it is only required to add the crosslinking agent when used. In order to simplify the ingredients procedure or other needs, it is ok to do so, but remember, the crosslinking agent can not be used in the resins in advance, otherwise it is easy to make the resin obsolete.
Note: when the ingredients may not be promoting agent, crosslinking agent and at the same time to join in the resin (promoting agent, crosslinking agent directly mixed combustion and explosion), it must be after adding accelerator and resin mix in crosslinking agent.
